Pastel Artists Community

The Pastel Art Society of Atlantic Canada is an artist community that unites artists who specialize in creating works with pastels, a medium cherished for its vibrant colors, delicate texture, and versatility.

The importance to pastel artists lies in our ability to promote the art form, offer professional development opportunities, and facilitate connections between artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts.

Education

PASAC members benefit from a wide array of resources designed to enhance their skills and knowledge. These resources include workshops, demonstrations, and access to educational materials. Through hands-on workshops, PASAC helps its members to deepen their understanding of pastel techniques, such as layering, blending, and texturing. These workshops are often tailored to different levels of expertise, ensuring that both beginners and advanced artists have opportunities to learn and grow.

On-Line Presence

Furthermore, the Pastel Art Society of Atlantic Canada maintains an online platform where members can share their work, discuss techniques, and engage in creative conversations. This virtual presence extends the community beyond in-person events and ensures that members stay connected year-round. Through online discussions, members can ask for advice, share progress on ongoing projects, and celebrate one another’s accomplishments, fostering a vibrant and supportive environment.
